Hail Mary
Don't Say A Word
Eat Me Alive (It Isn't Easy)
Fall
Frances
This is my first set of songs I've tried to record at a decent quality, and the first set of songs I've genuinely liked and felt proud of! There are some errors in my playing/singing but overall I feel like this is my best work. You can also listen on YouTube here.
Hail Mary is about feeling like self-destructing is the only thing that's going to make you feel alive, and being determined to keep on going in life. It's probably my most vulnerable song that I've shared publically.
Don't Say A Word is an amalgam of all the things I was feeling when I wrote it. Feeling like nobody knows the real me, that the people I love will only like the happy, energetic version of me and not the pessimistic parts of my personality, getting sick of family members ranting to me about other family members and missing the people I love even when they're right in front of me. I feel like this is one of my more unique songs.
Eat Me Alive was written when I was feeling like a bad person and like I needed to hide all of my negative emotions to be liked. It's the oldest song written for this EP.
Fall is about the things you do to try and cope with anxiety, and the return of said anxiety when you stop engaging in those distractions. The suggestive undertone isn't not on purpose XD
Frances is quite literally about one of my OC's, Detective Frances Bennett, and the guilt she feels around her relationship with notorious criminal Emile Taylor. It's a bit of an outlier in this collection of songs, given most of them are about me, but I liked it too much not to include it.
